Spring brings us the magnificent colors of trillium, grandiflorum, dogwood blossoms, and mountain azaleas. Summer in the high meadows and balds allows us to sample wild strawberries and huckleberries. Fall is simply breathtaking with a palate of spectacular hues and wildlife at its peak. Even winter brings an almost serene mantle for those hikers who enjoy the glistening sheen of hoarfrost and snow.

For those travelers who are only staying overnight but want to get some exercise before turning in, we have a 6-mile linear walking trail almost at our doorstep. The Town of Erwin maintains and patrols this trail, providing a scenic walkway to enjoy and be refreshed.
