Whether you love antiquing in small or out of the way places, stopping at roadside produce stands to sample homemade apple butter or fresh vegetables and fruits or searching for that special retirement farm or cabin spot to purchase; or simply enjoying a leisurely afternoon drive through the valleys and mountains…. We’ve Got Your Number!
Thus far unnoticed and undiscovered by “tourists”, only a few locals and a very few visitors have taken advantage of well maintained two-lane paved roads that wind throughout our mountains and provide easy hours of driving enjoyment to those of us who may want to “put the top down” or just get out and see what lies beyond that hill and curve. We have all the beauty of the Smokies without the crowds.
Our Favorite Short Picnic Tour:
This scenic trip can actually be driven in slightly over an hour and a half. But we have a much better suggestion! Take your time, pick up some goodies at a special stop or two along the way, drive leisurely to one of six great but diverse recreation areas with privacy, beauty, grills/tables and enjoy an inexpensive but fun filled Appalachian picnic. We guarantee you’ll love this short but memorable tour! If you would like the directions, please contact the front desk and we are happy to provide directions and tips!
