Worley’s Cave, aka Morril’s Cave State Natural Area, is located in Sullivan County, near Bluff City and Johnson City, TN. It is very close to the Watauga River and Elizabethton, TN, so it’s possible to go caving in the morning and rafting on the Watauga River in the afternoon (10% discount for additional trips).
Worley’s Cave is un unspoiled, “wild cave” that is known for its voluminous size. It has more than 37,000 feet of mapped passages on two levels. There are rooms more than 75 feet wide and 250 feet long, with high ceilings that often exceed 100 feet. It is noted for its beautiful formations within the eight to ten miles of passages.
